This is probably my favourite restaurant in Palma de Mallorca. A true hidden gem! Their octopus is incredible, it was grilled to tender perfection. I only wish there was more of the side! The peppers were also delicious as a starter. Skip the bread - it was dry and boring. The service was also attentive and felt personal. Sadly they don't have outdoor seating but I'm definitely coming back here again!

El Pilón is a real hidden jewel in a narrow medieval alleyway just off El Borne. It has a great selection of tapas & dishes with high quality fresh ingredients, great flavours & top presentation. Highly recommend this fabulous spot!

The place is just amazing, very refined & minimalist but the atmosphere is just 🤩 The food was great, I had some octopus which was cooked to the perfection The price for quality is very reasonable ! The service is quick fast and personnel very sweet and accommodating I would definitely recommend ! 😍🙏🏻

Eventually when we were last waiting, we were asked in for a glass of wine at the bar. Staff were friendly, although rushed. We ate papas bravas, egg plant with cane honey, beef meat balls and also had the fried baby Squid. Being hungry we intended ordering the lamb also, but our waiter correctly suggested we see how we were following the tapas. No main was required.
The egg plant in cane honey (molasses or treacle) was a standout for us. Quality was consistent across all the tapas we ate. Other patrons were making the most of the octopus and it did look fabulous. If I was in Palma more often El Pilón would be a favourite.
The complimentary aniseed liquor at the end of the meal warmed us nicely for the stroll home.- Wait time

Luxe tapas and finished with lovely Crema Catalana (Mallorca Style) for a great price. Most friendly personnel. You should eat here for sure!!

This was our first time in Palma, and so far, this has been the best dinner we've had. The frito marinera was absolutely outstanding, and the tortilla de patata with aioli made for a perfect pairing. Excellent food, great service, and reasonably priced — a win all around!

We really liked the ambiance, service, and food (particularly the scallops, jamon, mushrooms, and garlic shrimp). The staff recommended Rosa Blanca beer for us and I loved it very much. Amazing place for tapas. All the dishes were delicious(try the anchovies and octopus for sure!), big portions considering the prices per plate and cheap nice wines to accompany your dinner. They don't do reservations so I recommend going early enough(max 20:00) so that you won't wait a lot in queue. Service was kind and helpful and the girls could understand English which was also very positive! 5/5 ☺️

You cannot miss this restaurant!! We ordered 5 plates and all of them were amazingly delicious. The dessert was great too, with a light flavor of wine, different from any crème caramel I had tried before. On top of the food, the service was great. The lady was really friendly and helpful. A delightful dinner in Palma! 💛
The best food we had in Mallorca. It just sucks they didn’t have paella on the menu. If they did, it would probably be the best. Compliments to the team of this restaurant. Amazing service too!

Great for fishy tapas (and crème catalina). Lovely friendly staff. Brilliant food. Nice atmosphere. I'd recommend booking here - despite what other reviews have said. There's free WiFi - which is good because the restaurant is in an old cellar with no phone signal! You should definitely give it a go.

This was a really great restaurant! The tapas were tasty and well made and I can also recommend the desserts, not too sweet but super tasty. All in all, this is a great spot in the city Center. On a side note. The restaurant is a small cosy place and there is limited seating which makes for sitting very close to others on a busy day but the design and feel of the place was really inviting

Food was amazing. We had to queue for a bit to get a table, but it was definitely worth the wait. Strongly recommend the octopus and the shrimps. We’ll save it and come back.

Restaurant El Pilòn is an amazing place to eat. The food is excellent the grilled mushroom 🍄 and the grilled octopus 🐙 is the best we ever had. Very kind and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
